Registration
Registration Opens in November
You can register as an individual or as a group. Please set your correct time zone when you register, so every class time shows in your local time. Registration closes July 31, 2027 at 5 PM Eastern, or earlier if the event fills up.
Individuals ($25 Early-Bird, November through March or until Early-Bird spots are gone; $65 after that) will each follow their own schedule (one crew of three merit badges plus an optional fourth, or up to four badges in Crew Vanguard) and have their badge requirements & blue cards tracked by us. Blue cards can be printed from the registration system or mailed to you once approved by the instructor. A patch is included in your registration as well!
Groups ($250 each) will collectively follow one schedule, call in to the workshops as a single unit, and will need a local unit leader to help track badge requirements & sign off on blue cards. Three event patches are included.
Choose Your Crew
New for Space Jam 21, Scouts join a Flight Crew: three merit badges that build on each other, taught together as one mission to Saturn. Crew members can add an optional fourth Wildcard merit badge of their choice. Prefer to pick your own? Join Crew Vanguard and choose up to four merit badges from the full list.

* Physics and Psychology are new merit badges still being finalized by Scouting America. We expect both to be available by August.
How Space Jam Works
Space Jam is not a one-day-and-done workshop. Each merit badge happens in three parts:
- Before the event: prerequisites. Scouts read each merit badge pamphlet, start the worksheet, and complete the prerequisites listed for each class.
- August 7, 2027: live sessions. Scouts meet their crew and merit badge counselors in live, interactive Zoom classes.
- The next three weeks: finish the work. Scouts complete and submit their remaining work, and their counselors work with them to finish every requirement.

Refund Policy
We have a two-part refund process. Part one, your request for a refund must be made at least 30 days prior to the event so that we have time to refill classes. That request should be submitted via email to Space Jam Mission Control. Within 30 days after the event, we will follow up with payment details.
Many initial refund requests are dropped due to add-ons within the troop and we will not have a refund committee in place until after event. No exceptions to this policy will be considered.
There will be a 10% cancellation fee subtracted from the refund to cover processing.
Cancelled sessions: If a merit badge session is cancelled for reasons such as weather, internet or Zoom problems, or illness, our policy is to make it up at a later date, as soon as possible. There are no refunds for things beyond our control.
